World Of Warcraft: Warlords Of Draenor expansion pack

The World Of Warcraft: Warlords Of Draenor expansion pack was first mooted in November 2013 but it's not available yet, but it will be released soon. When it arrives, the expansion pack will increase the existing level cap from 90 to 100 and will include upgrades that will definitely make the wait worthwhile.

Warcraft

Game makers Blizzard Entertainment are clearly trying to extend the life of the world’s most famous MMO and why not given that 7 million gamers still enjoy it. The World Of Warcraft: Warlords Of Draenor pack will be the fifth one released for the franchise that arrived on the scene in 2004. After 10 years and one Guinness World Record for the most subscribers for an MMORPG, the game makers have decided to wipe the slate clean with some of the stats that have now accumulated into 6 digit numbers for some of the earliest players of the game.

New stats

Class defining stats like Warrior's Cleave or the Hunter's Aspect of the Hawk are being mashed together to form new ones or simply removed from the game. Performance stats like Hit and Expertise will also be removed by the expansion pack which won’t please long-term gamers, even though they’re the ones who will benefit most from a new expansion pack.

New features

A host of new features will be introduced including the new world of Draenor to explore. You will be able to build and upgrade your base and there are new character models too. The level cap rise to 100 and the ability to boost one character to 90 for immediate play are also there, and there’s a new interface that will freshen up the game.

Final word

If you’re one of the 7 million subscribers, you’ll be looking forward to the World Of Warcraft: Warlords Of Draenor expansion pack. When it’s finally released, it’ll be the first pack since Mists of Pandaria, which was released on September 25, 2012. Since the first Warcraft game was released for PCs and Macs in 1994, the Warcraft franchise has grown rapidly. This latest instalment has a lot to live up to, but we’re sure that the game makers will have got it right.
