Twitter gets a case of worms

A message for all you Twitter users: the favourite website of egomaniacs with too much time on their hands has been attacked by a malicious internet baddy.

If you've seen people telling you to click on a link for StalkDaily, then don't. It's a website that is designed to put worms through any computer that accesses it. The worms are basically harmless, but will be a massive pain in the hole for Twitter (not to mention its users), and show up just how lax their security is.

So who is this mischievous little scrote? A 17-year-old from Brooklyn called Mikeyy Mooney, who decided to ruin the tweeting of fools everywhere because he was bored. It's hard not to laugh, really.

'I am the person who coded the XSS which then acted as a worm when it auto updated a users profile and status, which then infected other users who viewed their profile,' said the geek. 'I did this out of boredom, to be honest. I usually like to find vulnerabilities within websites and try not to cause too much damage, but start a worm or something to give the developers an insight on the problem and while doing so, promoting myself or my website.'
