Nokia’s developing a mobile phone made out of recycled materials. The company’s CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo (yes, he is Finnish) showed off a prototype phone called the Remade in his speech yesterday at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The phone’s casing and keypad are made from recycled cans, and Nokia says that some of its electrical components could also be made from reused materials. There isn’t a working model yet, but if Nokia do release a finished (or Finnished, haha) phone we’ll be first in the queue. But then we’d have to throw out our old one… oh dear.
