Not content with being musical legends The Beatles are set to enter the world of video games in 2009. The Guardian reports that the people behind Rock Band are set to create an interactive game which will feature an "experiential journey" through the Mop Tops' career and music from Please Please Me to Abbey Road.
The game is being produced by Apple Corps, MTV Networks and Harmonix while Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr as well as widows Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison are also reported to be involved in the game's development.
The Guardian also reports that Beatles' purists will have nothing to complain about as the music used in the game will be taken from the Fab Four's original master tapes. The news is big blow for Activision, the creators of Guitar Hero, who had been hoping to win the rights to use the Beatles' music in their popular game.
