Teenager fired for complaining about job on Facebook

A 16-year-old administration worker has been fired from her job after complaining that it was 'boring' on Facebook.

Kimberley Swann used her status updates to complain to friends and family about the menial tasks she was being asked to perform at Ivell Marketing and Logistics.

When the teenager's manager saw the comments via the popular social networking site he decided to hand his new employee her P45. Swann told the Daily Mail that she couldn't believe that she had been fired: "I didn't even put the company's name, I just put my job was boring."

But the Essex based company for whom the 16-year-old was working have said that they were well within their rights to fire Ms Swann.
