To see out 2007, the good old Guardian has put together a short glossary of the latest in geek speak. We’ve heard of LQTM (laughing quietly to myself), of course, but not b0rked (as in broken) or W00t (an expression of excitement, apparently), or even suxxor (bad) and roxxor (good). They derive from “it sucks” and “it rocks”, of course – do keep up.
It’s heartening to see how technology is continuing to enrich the English language. So, just because it’s Christmas, or just because we felt like it, we thought we’d come up with a few of our own. How about ISLWMM (I still live with my mum), WTP? (where’s the porn) or even HMIGNF (help me I’ve got no friends)? Feel free to add to our high-tech glossary…
