Played the Force Unleashed on Xbox 360 yet?

As any fan will tell you, Star Wars games have always been largely a mixed bag. For every Knights of the Old Republic and Rogue Squadron, there's been a shameless cash in like Star Wars: Pod Racers.

Striding into this somewhat mixed landscape comes the Lucasarts backed star wars unleashed xbox 360 This game's main selling point is the fact it is canon in the Star Wars universe, and it bridges the gap for fans between the events of Episode 3 and Episode 4.

The game opens with a bang rarely seen in any video game. You start off controlling Darth Vader as you traipse through the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk. It's an enormously fun opening as you cut a swathe through the Wookiee resistance using Vader's powers of the Force.

As enjoyable as it is as an opening, it presents it's own problems in a different way. It's so much fun playing as Darth Vader, that when you take up the controls of his apprentice in the next level, and for the rest of the game, it becomes a lot less enjoyable and you yearn to have more of the first level.

The game is a stunning recreation of the Star Wars universe, with a number of fondly remembered characters showing up at various points.

It also players really well, once you get past the disappointment of losing all your powers, which admittedly you do regain later in the game.

If you can find this game for a cheap price, we recommend picking it up, however, it's not quite worth the full retail price as it doesn't offer much longevity.
