Rockstar release L.A. Noire advert

It appears that Rockstar is stepping up its publicity for L.A. Noire. The game is due for release on 20 May and has already caused something of a stir with its innovative interrogation system and frankly magical face animation.

Yesterday we expressed concerns that the game would be too heavy on the cut-scenes (there are five hours and 25 minutes of them) and light on the gameplay, but if the quotes from magazines used in the trailer are anything to go by then we could actually, really be in for a gaming revelation.

‘In his fight to climb the ranks and do what's right, (Detective Cole) Phelps must unravel the truth behind a string of arson attacks, racketeering conspiracies and brutal murders, battling the LA underworld and even members of his own department to uncover a secret that could shake the city to its rotten core,’ said the publisher, in a somewhat cliché-ridden press release.
