Research in Motion, the company behind the popular Blackberry smartphone, is set to unveil the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8820 today. The new look phone can be folded in half thanks to its camshell design which uses a hinge to separate the display from the keyboard.
The BlackBerry Pearl Flip comes in black or red, is 10 centimetres high and 5 centimetres wide by 1.5 centimetres deep, weighing a lightweight 110 grams. It offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0, but there is no GPS function.
It's still not clear exactly when the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8820 will be released and how much it will cost. The new camshell BlackBerry should be available before Christmas in the US, but there is still no word on the UK release date.
