Radio tagging comes to iPod Nano

When the new 5th generation iPod Nano was unveiled during the summer the biggest surprise was the addition of an FM radio, the first for any of the popular mp3 players.

As well as the ability to scroll through and listen to your favourite radio stations, Apple introduced a nifty little feature called ‘tagging’, which lets the user know which song they’re listen to and who the artist is, giving you the option to the track in iTunes (ker-ching!!!).

Since its launch, and until now, no UK radio stations have taken advantage of this feature, apart from Absolute Radio (formerly Virgin Radio) who has announced its introduction into the radio tagging era. So whenever you’re listening to a soft rock classic thinking, hmmmm, I wish I could buy that, a couple of clicks and it’s yours. One catch, it only works in London.
