Sometimes you come across stuff on the internet (stop sniggering at the back) that really defies explanation, such is the scope of their genius. Especially satisfying is when you see something that must have taken a stupid amount of time to do, that has no obvious commercial benefit whatsoever.
Take the iTrack, for instance, which some character with amusing bum fluff over his top lip calling himself The Mad Hacker has made. As you can see from the video below, he’s basically modded an old Beach Boys 8-track deck, into which he’s created a slot for his iPod Nano, meaning he can now play his iTunes library through his 8-track player. You can even take the thing around with you as well, as he has created a headphone jack and USB port for charging. Cool, no? It’s a shame then, that absolutely no-one has an 8-track any more; otherwise all that effort might have been worthwhile.
