Police caught playing Wii games

A few months back some coppers from Florida got caught out bad while they were on a drugs raid. The rozzers, searching a house in Lakeland for evidence of crime, decided to take a break from their work and start cracking out a few games of Wii bowling on the suspect’s console. This would have been bad enough in itself, if it hadn’t been taped and then sent to TV news stations across the world. Oops.

Even worse than that, those brave warriors from Lakeland’s finest have somehow managed to get off with little more than a bit of ‘retraining’, with the names of certain officers not even being released because of their undercover status. ‘We are learning from our mistakes,’ said Lakeland Sheriff chief of staff Gary Hester. ‘I think we handled [the investigation] properly.’ Hmm.
