Worst videogames covers ever

The cover art is supposed to help sell the game but in the case of these, the video game covers could so easily push you away from the game. We’re into judging a book by its cover territory here but that’s something you really can’t help doing judging by the state of the following.

Ultimate Duck Hunting’s cover could so easily be misread to “Ultimate Dog Hunting” because the image of the dog is way too prominent.

Phalanx is not about a banjo playing redneck out of Louisianna or Kentucky but that’s exactly what the cover suggests. Do you get from this image the notion that you’re looking at a game about spaceships fighting in the galaxy? Nope, neither do we.

There’s always been something way too smug about Noel. Even when he was mega popular with shows on Saturday nights, he wasn’t very good. Odd cover for Cheggers Party Quiz but let’s be honest – the idea of a game based on a British TV personality who was famous way before computer games were played at home just seems unnatural. One to avoid for so many reasons.

Babes, bikinis, baddass guns. What’s there not to like here? The obvious use of hot babes to attract nerds into buying a game that’s nothing to do with hot babes is really what we object to with this one.
