Amazon’s moving out of online film rentals, handing over its UK customers to market-leader Lovefilm in exchange for roughly a 33% stake in the company. The combined business will have almost a million customers in the UK, Germany and Scandinavia.
We’ve had a mixed experience with online DVD rental. Of course, it removes yet another reason to ever leave the house or put on shoes, but there might also be a downside.
