Obama sez 'stop playing video games'

It was all going so well between us Barack, and then you had to come along and suggest that video games are to blame for unhealthy lifetsyles. Bah.

In the past Obama has spuriously claimed that not playing video games has made China and India more competitive with the USA (we don't think you should be trumpeting China as an example to anyone, for a start), which is pretty hypocritical given that his campaign for election used in-game advertising.

Obama was speaking to the American Medical Association in Chicago when he made the link between video games and unhealthy lifestyles.

'The second step that we can all agree on is to invest more in preventive care so that we can avoid illness and disease in the first place,' said the American president. 'That starts with each of us taking more responsibility for our health and the health of our children.

'It means going for a run or hitting the gym, and raising our children to step away from the video games and spend more time playing outside.' Boooooooo.
