Ah, good ol' E3. The annual Las Vegas technology mega-expo is always a good time to catch up with the latest gaming tech. This year 3D is a big theme: yesterday saw the announcement of the Nintendo 3DS, and now Sony have shown off some examples of Playstation 3 software running in three dimensions too.
Killzone, WipeOut and Major League Baseball were all shown off in 3D versions, requiring a pair of (quite pricey) 'active shutter' 3D glasses. The bad news, according to Engadget, is that there's quite a price to pay in terms of graphical flash to allow the 3D effect. But Sony are eager to point out that these are very early versions, and can only get smoother and prettier as they're improved.
