They’ve been talking about it since World War II – sending energy over the airwaves to charge electric machinery. In the last few years, they’ve talked about charging small gadgets and gizmos with wireless power. But can you actually charge your laptop through the airwaves today? Nah.
You still rely on a battery that lasts four hours tops for your laptop. How whack is that? There’s enough computing power to run a moon landing in your 400-quid machine but still no more battery life than a CD Walkman.
Still, at least laptop batteries don’t just stop working, like a certain generation of highly popular MP3 players’ power sources. Eh?
