Looking to pick up nintendo wii guitar hero?

The Guitar Hero series may have come to an end, but these games still remain brilliant fun, and once you master them they're simply addictive! If you own a Nintendo Wii and you haven't picked one up, then what are you waiting for?

Guitar Hero was first released on the humble Playstation 2 in 2005 and immediately garnered a large following. The game gave players a novel experience, and appealed to the 'inner rock star' in gamers!

The stunning success of the game meant that the next in the series, Guitar Hero 2, would be released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 2. A year later, Nintendo Wii Guitar Hero 3 was released.

This was the first release of the game on the Nintendo system, and was Wii gamers first chance to get to grips with the famous guitar controller. The game sold well enough so that the ever increasing number of follow-ups Guitar Hero - World Tour, Guitar Hero 5, and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock were released by Wii.

Unfortunately for fans of the genre, slow sales of the recent releases caused publisher Activision to pull the plug on the franchise. The games are still supported with downloadable content, however no new games will be released.

The decline in the series presents some brilliant opportunities for gamers looking to pick up a bargain. Due to the high storage costs of the "full-band" kit, stores and publishers are eager to offload their excess stock at low prices. It's possible to find the previously £150 pound kit for less than £40. That's a bargain any way you look at it!
