We check out the Nikon D90 12MP DSLR with 18 105 mm VR lens

Buying a camera these days can be tough work. There's more choice available than at any other time and, due to the ever decreasing cost of digital SLR technology, it's much harder to tell the difference between an awful lot of the products on the market. Today we take a look at the excellent Nikon D90 12MP DSLR with 18 105 mm VR lens, one of our favourite cameras of recent times.

It might be a bit pricier than some of the competition out there given its recommended retail price of £819.99 (although it is available from Argos.co.uk for the bargain price of just £729.99), but this wonderfully built Nikon has plenty of features to keep experienced snappers happy for hours at a time.

Thanks to its excellent 12.3 megapixel capabilities, the Nikon D90 is one of the sharpest cameras on the market right now. While you can get smaller and cheaper cameras featuring much higher megapixel numbers these days, you simply won't get the clarity of image on offer here without spending that little bit extra.

This camera is certainly not one for beginners due to the huge range of features available, but for the experienced amateur or semi professional photographer it really does stand out from the crowd. Features include an ISO range of between 200 and 3200, a shutter speed of between 1/4000 to 30 seconds, continuous shooting of 4.5 frames per second in the JPEG format, CMOS sensor, full manual mode, built in flash, zoom lens and the Nikon F Mount lens mount which is compatible with more than 100 different lenses.

If you're looking for something to take your hobby that little bit further, we really can't recommend this superb camera from Nikon enough.
