Saga launches social networking site

It looks like online social networking has well and truly broken out of the exclusive domain of the teenager’s bedroom. Holiday and insurance company Saga this week launched its own service, Saga Zone, which is restricted to people over 50 and has built up 13,000 users over its four-month trial period. Saga says that ‘in theory the membership is practically limitless’.

We’re pretty happy with this development and will be enthusiastically recommending it to relatives. Anything to minimise the chance of being Facebooked by Aunty Audrey…
