If you’ve ever cursed the Windows start-up tune as it blares out from someone’s laptop on the train or just announces the beginning of another working day, this might just change your mind.

A short piece of music using only system sounds from Windows XP and Windows 98 has taken YouTube by storm, attracting over 2,000 comments since being posted in December last year. We have to admit it’s catchy, but isn’t it significant that not even someone so obviously in love with Windows was prepared to use Vista…?
