It’s been a while since we had a decent story on hoverboots, powdered steak or flying cars, so we were delighted to read about the Milner Motors AirCar, due to make its debut at the New York Air Show later this month.

Like the Terrafugia Transition, it’s basically a light aircraft that can drive on the road – it looks like this method is much easier than putting wings on a Ford Focus. The makers expect it to cost $450,000 – the same as a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren supercar – and to be capable of 200mph in the air, and 80mph on the ground.
