Bill Gates has apparently unsubscribed from Facebook, which must mean it’s no longer fashionable (we told you so). According to the Sun newspaper he was getting sucked in – “Bill, 52, spent 30 minutes daily catching up with pals” – but 8,000 friend requests a day, which the paper optimistically describes as “from fans”, proved too much for the billionaire to handle.

Will Bill actually manage to leave, or will he suffer his own long struggle to control his information? That complaint email would probably get opened rather quickly – after all, Microsoft did invest £120 million last year…
