New South Park site launced with full episode streaming

It's a happy day for South Park fans the world over. The show's creators, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, have launched a new version of the site South Park Studios with full episode streaming from any of the programme's 12 seasons and access to over 3,000 embeddable clips.

Speaking to Boing Boing, Matt Stone said: "Every South Park episode and billions of clips have been online for years on YouTube or BitTorrent (...) we've always loved the fact that more people in more places could see our little show."

"The new website just makes it easier for people to see and share South Park . Basically, we just got really sick of having to download our own show illegally all the time. So we gave ourselves a legal alternative."

Stone's comments make a refreshing change from the ever increasing army of overrated singers and giant media companies that have yet to embrace the reality of  file sharing and online entertainment.

The site also features an avatar creator, a games section and a forum for anyone feeling bored in the office. Unfortunately you can't embed the full episodes offered but it's difficult to knock the foresight and generosity offered by South Park's creators.

But the move could mean hard times for a number of sites such as Alluc and Hulu, where South Park consistently tops the list of the most-viewed cartoon.
