New Assassin's Creed set in Turkey?

For those of us who’ve been reared on the Assassin’s Creed titles only since Ezio Auditore di Firenze came onto the scene, the thought of playing one without the stab happy Italian is slightly disconcerting: we know that his story is all over, but we don’t want it to be, dammit! If we don’t get more Ezio we might just stomp our feet and cry a bit.

Anyway, it appears that the new title, which will be revealed by Ubisoft later on this month, could be set in Turkey and star Altair, the protagonist in the original Assassin’s Creed game. At a certain point in the teaser trailer below, the date 24.06.1459 appears to flash atop an image of Hagia Sofia, which is a museum in Turkey on the site of a former mosque and patriarchal basilica. Take a look.
