MySpace, the site that kicked off the whole social networking shebang, has launched a dedicated celebrity site that keeps users up to date with the latest news on famous people form their MySpace pages. MySpace Celebrity (how did they come up with that?) will kick off with profiles of 300 or so celebrities, all of whom will be apparently be in charge of their own information.
At the moment it’s very Hollywood-focused, with launch features including Matthew McConaughey and Elijah Wood, but there are a few expat celebs on the site’s Celebrity Directory – David Beckham and Ozzy Osbourne are flying the flag.
Could we ask for a better pair of online ambassadors?
