Loking for a great smartphone that's not going to break the bank? Then our Motorola Moto G review might just help you make up your mind, and nab you one of the best smartphones of the past twelve months. Although the idea of budget smartphones doesn't appeal to some, what you get with the Moto G is far more premium than you might expect.

Serious Bang for Your Buck

With so many people focusing on the higher end of the smartphone market these days, it's perhaps not surprising that there are some real gems lurking at the lower end of the market that tend to get passed by, and Motorola's Moto G is one such device.

While reading this Moto G review, it's worth keeping in mind that this is a device you'll be able to pick up for around £100 these days - one heck of a price, all things considered.

We'll start by taking a look at the handset's dominating feature, that glorious 4.5" touch screen. Although it's not quite the 1080p full HD display you might expect to find on full priced handsets, this 720p IPS display is more than capable of delivering stunning clarity and visuals no matter what apps you're using.

On top of all that real estate, you'll be getting a device that's got some very capable innards, including a quad core 1.2GHz CPU, Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM, while the whole thing is powered by Google's Android 4.3 operating system (which can be upgraded to the latest version if you're technically inclined).

With this kind of power it's surprising that the device costs so little, but unlike most things that look too good to be true, there are few problems lurking beneath the surface of this device.

What's the Catch?

When writing this Moto G review, we found ourselves looking for the catch, but it never came. Sure, the handset lacks 4G connectivity, and there's no option to pop in a microSD card to increase the handset's internal storage beyond the 8 or 16GB that comes as standard, but they're only minor issues.

Everything ese is incredibly well rounded, from the battery life to the device's overall performance. If you're looking to pick up the single best budget Android smartphone on the market right now, then you'll find nothing better than the Motorola Moto G - we guarantee it.
