Microsoft's new search engine Bing has performed well in the first two weeks since its launch. According to the latest figures from comScore the site enjoyed an overall share of 12 per cent in the week June 8-12.
Based on comScore data Bing appears to be growing at a steady pace with Micrsoft's share of the search market increasing by over 7 per cent in the space of a couple of weeks. The site is still miles behind market leader Google on 60 per cent but Microsoft could be set to leapfrog rivals Yahoo in the next few weeks.
According to TechCrunch, Microsoft has spent over $100m to advertise Bing so it will be interesting to see if the site can continue to grow at the same rate in the coming months.
