Microsoft has launched new Photosynth software which allows users to transform their 2D photos into 3D, 360 degree environments. The program, which is free and avaiable for Windows Vista and XP OSs, can be downloaded from the Photosynth website
The software analyses, rearranges and stitches 2D photos uploaded into a 3D model creating a 360 experience. But you'll need to think ahead as between 20 and 300 overlapping snaps are needed to make a synth.
For anyone who has spent hours painstakingly stitching their holidays pics together in Photoshop it looks like Microsoft have come up with a winner. Check the Photosynth promo video below if you're still not convinced.
