Marvel Comics releases online archive

Marvel Comics has become the first major comics publisher to release back issues online, with more than 2,500 comics from the 1960s onwards available to subscribers for viewing on the web. Access to the archive costs $59.88 a year, or $9.99 a month, but 250 titles will be released free as a taster.

We’re feeling quite ten-year-old-excited about an online collection that includes the first appearances of Spider-Man, the X-Men and the Hulk, all for a fiver a month. We’re going for X-Men first – what about you?
