Man delivers baby thanks to YouTube video

A man from Cornwall successfully delivered his newborn son thanks to the help of an instructional video on YouTube. Marc Stephens, an engineer from Redruth, decided to watch the video just in case and when the ambulance and midwife were delayed he was literally left holding the baby.

"I Googled how to deliver a baby, watched a few videos and basically swotted up," the emergency midwife told the BBC. "The videos gave me peace of mind. I think I would have coped, but watching videos made things much easier."

The newest arrival to the Stephens family, a 5lbs 5oz baby boy called Gabriel, and his mother were both later given a clean bill of health at the Royal Cornwell Hospital. And who said YouTube was only for stupid videos of people playing unfunny practical jokes?
