London Web Summit

Populis has today announced its support of the recently launched London Web Summit: a culmination of the two largest web and start up conferences in the UK & Ireland, GeeknRolla and the Dublin Web Summit, which have merged to create the London Web Summit.

Taking place on March 19th in the Brewery, London, TechCrunch Europe Editor Mike Butcher will co-curate the Summit along with Paddy Cosgrave of the Dublin Web Summit. Supporting the event as a media partner, Populis will be covering every aspect of the event, the first of its kind to take place in the Capital. From interviewing the movers and shakers, to covering the conference topics alongside back stage and corridor gossip; the latest news will be published across Excite UK’s Digital Edge channel and on Blogo.co.uk.

In true start up spirit there will be a start up competition which will be chaired by Mike Butcher with a prize fund of £35,000 and can be entered by applying here. The Summit will also provide great opportunities to hear from international speakers, networking with leading startups, investors, media and digital leaders.

Confirmed speakers to date include; Niklas Zennstrom, one of Europe’s top tech entrepreneurs and investors, founder of Skype, Kazaa and venture capital fund Atomico, Lars Hinrichs – Founder of Hackfwd, Jason Goldberg – founder and CEO of fab.com, Nikesh Arora – CBO of Google, Reshma Sohoni – Partner, Seedcamp, Alex Hoye – CEO Latitude Group, Cindy Gallop – Founder, If We Ran The World, Ben Milne – Co Founer, Dwolla, Jessica Powell – CMO Badoo, Matthew Prince – CEO of Cloudflare and Morten Lund – CEO of Everbread Ltd among others.

Already with over 500 confirmed attendees, the London Web Summit is set to become one of the key events in Europe for the web and start up community.
