Last.fm users to benefit from new deal with Sony

If you're a Last.fm user you'll be excited to hear that the London based online radio service, which now has around 20 million listeners, has signed a deal with Sony, giving users access to the music company's huge back catalogue of music.

Sony BMG spokesperson, Thomas Hesse, said, "The Last.fm streaming service will give our established artists a platform through which they can reach new audiences, and its unique recommendation system will provide our emerging artists with an important opportunity to build their fan base."

The new deal brings Last.fm one large step closer to their ambitious mission, to make all music ever recorded available on the Last.fm service.
