It's a grind

We’re usually not a huge fan of skateboarding games: they’re usually far too easy to rack up silly amounts of points on if you mash enough buttons, and skateboarding peripherals really are just a waste of time. However, we like what we’ve seen of Shaun White Skateboarding, which looks like it will be using a nice, user-friendly control system that utilises the two sticks on the PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers.

As you can see in the video below, the basic controls are fairly simple, and will give you a feeling of satisfaction once you’ve completed the your first grab, or Ollie, and once you’ve started to combine them further fun awaits! However, they haven’t explained how they will avoid the game becoming little more than a grind (geddit?) of getting the highest score possible, ending a stage as soon as you balls up the first complex move. Well, Ubisoft? What’s your solution to that?
