iPhone 6 Release Date in the UK: september 2014?

As is always the case when it comes to major smartphone launches, there has been much speculation as to what the iPhone 6 release date in the UK will be, but as is normally the case when Apple releases a new handset, it's likely we'll see it hitting stores at some stage in September.

Staying True to Form

In the past, Apple has typically unveiled its new smartphones towards the start of September, as was the case with the most recent launches of the iPhone 5, 5S and 5C.

That means that the chances of us seeing a September iPhone 6 release date in the UK are almost one hundred per cent.

What can we expect to see from the next generation smartphone, though? 2014 has been a great year for mobiles so far, with both HTC and Samsung launching great new devices in the One M8 and Galaxy S5 respectively, while Nokia has also managed to deliver the goods with its Windows Phone 8 handsets.

That'll mean little to avid Apple lovers, though, as the iOS operating system is seen by many as being a cut above the others on the market, and each successive iPhone release usually brings with it a new version of the OS, complete with a slew of changes, functionality additons and user interface overhauls.

Some of the most common rumours surrounding the iPhone 6 suggest that we might see another change in form factor, following the move to a 4-inch display with the launch of the iPhone 5 back in 2012. If this proves to be the case, users can most likely expect to see a bump in size to 4.5 to 5 inches.

Fans Will Love It

Regardless of whether Apple opts to change the size of the screen, once the iPhone 6 release date arrives in the UK it's almost certain that we'll see a repeat of the eager fans lining up overnight to be among the first to get their hands on the device, and if the rumours that a smart watch might also be released by Apple at the same time prove to be true, they're going to need deep pockets!
