Here begins the marketing war

Two ads for the HTC Mondrian, one of the Windows Phone 7 smartphones that are hoping to topple Apple’s iPhone from its lofty perch, have popped up on the internet, and we’re here to show them to you. We’ve already seen what the tech guys at Microsoft have tried to achieve with this interview here, but the battle will be won or lost by the marketing team, make no mistake about it. What then, have their made their selling point?

Well, judging from these ads, they’re selling the system as a way of stopping you from spending all your time on your phone, portraying the operating system as something that delivers what you need super fast, leaving you more time for important cuddly stuff like your family, or friends. Plus they play up the urban middle class ponce angle. It’s so crazy it might just work.
