Government wi-fi exposure study approved
The Government’s Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced that it will carry out a study to establish how much radiation from wireless networks the average person in the UK experiences.
The study does not attempt to draw conclusions about safety, although that’s how it’s being reported. Nobody has yet found proof that wi-fi is harmful, and a study published earlier this year found no evidence for the existence of “electro-sensitivity”.
Nevertheless teachers have expressed concern that it hasn’t been proved “100% safe”, so the Government’s now in the impossible position of being asked to prove a negative. Good luck with that, boffins.
