Google gave the world a sneak peak of the Android -powered T-Mobile handset yesterday at a Google Developer Day at Wembley. The new googlephone can be seen in all its glory in the video below.
T-Mobile are set to officially unveil the Android mobile on Tuesday, but it’s believed that it won’t go on sale until October. It is estimated that it will shift half a million units in its first month on the market.
The Android’s main selling point is that the platform encourages developers to create apps. So it will be interesting to see if third-party applications will be enough to help Google carve out a niche for itself in a market already dominated by the Blackberry and the iPhone.
