Google Search unveiled for iPhone

Good news for iPhone users: yesterday in the States Google unveiled the new Google Search app for iOS, which will make using your iPhone to search for stuff a much happier experience, and crucially gives it something that its Android rivals have had for a while.

As you’ll see in the video below, it more or less mimics Google.com, but instead of using an arrow to bring up a sidebar, you only have to swipe to the right to bring up a wealth of options that will narrow down your search. In the column you can choose between ‘Everything’, ‘Places’, ‘Images’, ‘News’, ‘Shopping’, ‘Videos’, ‘Updates’, ‘Blogs’ and ‘Discussions’, while a camera icon allow you to use Google Goggles as quickly more or less instantaneously. If you’re an Apple slave then get it immediately – by the way, it’s free.
