Google's G1 mobile phone hits the shelves in the UK tomorrow. The handset will be available from T-Mobile and looks set to take on Apple's iPhone and RIM's Blackberry in the Christmas market.
The G1 uses Android software which allows developers to create free applications for the handset. The phone will be available on a £40 per month contract which includes unlimited web access.
It remains to be seen if the G1 can compete with the iPhone and the Blackberry with many analysts predicting that the phone will struggle to carve out a place for itself in a highly competitive market.
