Going, going, gone!

If you though forking out 500 odd smackers for an iPad for a loved one for Christmas was pushing your present budget to the max then spare a thought for the guy who paid a whopping £133,350 for the first ever Apple computer.

The Apple I was up for auction yesterday and sold for the equivalent price of 310 new tablets. The first Apple computer resembles something like a type-writer rather than a home PC but at the time it was seen as a ground breaking piece of tech, even though it’s about a 1000 times slower than the current Mac Book Pro.

Italian collector Marco Boglione was the man who snapped up the Apple I – one of of only 200 ever made. No one tell him that he won’t be able to view any Flash video on there.
