Go Buy!

It may be small, expensive, and running software that was designed for phones rather than tablets. Still, the Samsung Galaxy Tab looks set to finally be a decent challenger to a certain fruity product. According to Engadget, it's 'the first true competitor to Apple's iPad'.

And it's available now! The UK is the first place you can get one! Don't ya feel special?

It's at Carphone Warehouse, Dixons, and also available direct from your mobile phone provider. You can get one for as little as £99, but that means committing to an extortionate £40-a-month 2-year wireless data contract. Or, probably more sensibly, you can shell out £499 now and pay just £10 a month for data.

We'd say that if you think you'd mostly use it around the house, you'd be better off waiting a bit longer till the Wi-Fi only version comes out. But then you wouldn't get to be FIRST, would you?
