Garmin Forerunner 110 Sports Fitness Watch review

If you are looking for a good sports watch to buy, try the Garmin Forerunner 110. Simple, easy to use and waterproof, the watch is an ideal entry level timepiece which you can use while doing sports. It keeps track of your progress giving you a fair indication of your efforts and fitness level.

The Garmin Forerunner is made to look and feel like an ordinary watch. It comes with a charging and data transfer cable, wall charger, power adapter and heart rate strap

  • Handy size

It is the first GPS watch that is the size of a normal timepiece unlike previous models which are bulky and chunky. In terms of appearance, the Garmin Forerunner looks and feels great on the wrists. It is also suitable for women with smaller wrists.

  • Easy to use

There’s no fumbling around with this device. After standard instructions of charging it prior to use, setting the sports watch for use is pretty straightforward. Enter required details such as age, weight, and distance metrics (km or miles), set the time and date and you’re ready to go. It is practically designed for running.

  • Accuracy

The GPS records data accurately and there are no issues with data loss. It can also hook up to the GPS without a problem. Moreover, it is easy to transfer data to the computer.

  • Good battery life

The device can be used for up to one week without charging, training up to 45 minutes a day with the GPS. It can last up to 3 weeks in power save mode while if you are using it all the time, it can stay up to 8 hours without charging.

  • Other uses

The Garmin Forerunner can be used for cycling which is a pretty cool thing.

One of the disadvantages of the Garmin Forerunner is that it is not loaded with extras. It is a great device though for someone who does not want all the bells and whistles of sophisticated models. In addition, it does not come with a detachable wrist band so it can only be worn on the wrist.

The Garmin Forerunner is not fully waterproofed which means that an occasional, quick dunking is fine but swimming with the watch is not. For this, you are better off with the Garmin Forerunner 310XT. However, for its price, functionality, and appealing design, the Garmin Forerunner 110 is a good sports watch to buy.
