Forever delayed

This is getting a bit ridiculous. A couple of months ago, we told you that the most frequently-delayed video game of all time, Duke Nukem Forever, was finally approaching release. The sequel to the 1990s shoot-em-up series, first intended for release in 1999 (!), was given a release date of May 6. Finally, Duke-lovers thought, we'd get to see the epic we've been waiting for.

Well, sorry folks: it's been delayed again.

Admittedly, only a few weeks this time. The Duke will now be shooting up "pig cops, alien shrink rays, and enormous alien bosses" in your living room from June 10th onward. And spare a thought for the poor Americans - they have to wait till June 14th.

"I'm very sorry for the added delay," Gearbox Software President Randy Pitchford said in a statement. "We've all been working extremely hard and are very eager to deliver the game to you."

Well, we've been waiting since 1999, a few more weeks won't hurt. Perhaps we'll buy it at the same time we buy the new All Saints single.
