Export to World makes Second Life real
This really brightened up our Monday morning – a quirky little project that messes with your head… just the sort of thing we like. Export to World takes objects from Second Life – like TVs, sweet dispensers and lampposts – and produces paper plans that can be cut and glued into blocky, odd-looking real objects.
The project – created for Ars Electronica 2007 – apparently “seeks to comment ironically on the design and production of merchandise in virtual worlds”, but we think that spoils the fun a bit… It’s just rather cool…
