Driving us crazy

Hey, you! Yes, you. You with the shiny new iMac that you bought between May and July this year. The one packing a brand new Thunderbolt port and whacking great 1TB hard drive. You. Yeah, your iMac's broken.

Well, at least it might be about to be. Apple's announced there's a potential problem with the 1TB hard drives included with the new iMac models released this year. The problem's now sorted, but those who've already bought a new-model iMac are at risk of a drive failure.

How much risk? Apple aren't saying, but they're offering everyone a free drive replacement. All you've got to do is take the computer to the Apple Store (which is super easy, right? You just pop a gigantic 27in computer in your rucksack) and they'll sort it out. If you don't live near an Apple Store, fear not - an authorized Apple service centre will do.

Not sure if your Mac qualifies? Head over to Apple's website and they'll check for ya. What was that about 'just works', Steve?
