Dr. Strangelove

We’re looking forward to Batman: Arkham City as much as any gamer has ever looked forward to any game. Arkham Asylum was one of the best games of 2009, and Rocksteady have shown that they are more than capable of delivering an absorbing game environment, without compromising the fun.

As yet we don’t have any footage from the actual game, but the publisher has released a two-minute long trailer, which established the villain; a creepy looking quack called Dr. Hugo Strange. Strange tortures a leader of the Tyger security group with what appears to be truth serums, forcing him to recount a failed mission to do over the Batster, before revealing that he knew that the mission would fail, and that he knows his secret identity.

It’s all a bit corny, but what impressed us was finding out that it’s not a live action film, but rather photo-realistic CGI. Given how the characters move we’re not convinced by that at all. It just appears too realistic to not be live action. Take a look for yourselves.
