The Wii, with motion controller and revolutionary set of software, propelled itself into the public eye upon launching in 2006. Since then it has sold the most of any console this generation, and fans are eagerly awaiting the follow up console, which should be released around Christmas time. For now though, there is an unbelievable library of downloadable games to work through and it is all thanks to Nintendo's Virtual Console system.

The Virtual Console brings together a host of games from classic consoles including the Sega Master System, Sega Mega Driver, Super Nintendo, Nintendo Entertainment System, and Nintendo 64. You can view the full array of titles available to download by checking out nintendo.com/wii/virtualconsole. Games range in price on the virtual console from 400 Nintendo Points to 1,200 Nintendo Points, and here are a few games for each system to watch out for.

N64 - Super Mario World, Wave Race, Pilotwings and Legend of Zelda, both Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask.

Super Nintendo - Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger, Zelda: Link to the Past.

NES - Super Mario Bros. Mario 2, Mario 3.

Mega Drive - Any of the Sonic games, Shinobi and Streets of Rage.

Sega Master System - Any of the Sonic games.
