Sick of the iPad dominating the tablet market? Rivals like the Motorola Xoom, BlackBerry Playbook and Samsung Galaxy Tab have all fallen by the wayside before the might of Apple's all-conquering tablet. But a new challenger has entered the ring: the HP TouchPad.

Descended from the PalmPilots of old, it's the first tablet to match the iPad's popular 9.7-inch, 4:3-ratio shape. And it's running WebOS, the new operating system made by Palm before they were bought by HP last year. WebOS has had good reviews, and the TouchPad's reviews haven't been bad either, though it's a bit chunky.

Interested? The TouchPad has just landed in the UK, and it's just £399, which means it at least competes with the iPad on price.
