All about the DIN car stereo

What is DIN?

The DIN is the size of the car stereo itself. This had to be established due the manufacturing differences which lead to a variety of different size radios. A DIN headunit can be a single DIN or a double DIN. There is a third option, but this is much rarer than the single and double din and is used primarily by the Chrysler group, with Mitsubishi also choosing this option for their OEM devices.

Single DIN Car Stereos

If you are looking for single DIN car stereos and CD players, you might want to visit Dynamic Sounds at the following link: http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/stereos-cdmp3-players-c-135_28.html.  Dynamic Sounds offer free delivery on their orders and a whole range of car stereos. One example of a single DIN car stereo is the Sony CDX-GT252MP. The Sony CDX-GT252MP features a high pass and a low pass filter, 4x 45W output power and front AUX-IN connection. This stereo is available for £59.99 at the following location: http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/sony-cdxgt252mp-stereo-tuner-with-front-auxin-p-27102.html.

Double DIN Car Stereos

Double DIN car stereos can be found at the Car Audio Centre by visiting the following link: http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/category_m-double-din-car-stereos_c-2485.htm.  Double DIN stereos are generally more expensive than single DIN stereos, although there are similarly priced models available.
